PAP  - Ex-agitators Should Be Involve In The Protection of Pipelines, Surveillance, says Ndiomu

...adopts Train - Employ - Exit concept

The Interim Head of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Maj-Gen Tariye Barry Ndiomu has said that ex-agitators should be allowed to be involved in the protection and surveillance of oil pipelines within the Niger Delta.

He stated this while meeting with journalists in Abuja giving them an update on steps taken so far to reposition the program on efforts to secure employment for graduates of the scheme.

He noted that billions of Naira going into tuition fees for beneficiaries of the scheme is not sustainable, hence, adopted the Train-Employ-Exit concept.

I have gone down visiting quite a several Government Agencies, Ministers trying to see how we can secure employment for these boys.

In terms of entrepreneurship, we have several initiatives, we have come up with the concept of Train, Employ, and Exit because this program is not intended to last forever.

I believe that the ex-agitators should be allowed to be involved in the protection and surveillance of oil pipelines within the Niger Delta. It's something they have discussed with me and I believe that it will also be a way of testing their faith and commitment," Ndiomu said.

He also used the medium to appreciate President Buhari for the prompt approval of the monthly allowances to the ex-agitators.
