As we approach the end of a day of yet another ‘International Day of Peace’, we almost certainly count it as another day achieved. That’s a prayer of grace because there are many who seem to be constantly, even if just in the last few years, very far from experiencing peace in their lives, in their environments. Some are victims of wars and communal clashes; others are victims of situations that should otherwise be regarded as small disagreements and disputes. But, no matter the source of the strife, we all would be happier without them. We all would rather live in a world devoid of hatred if we could! As Africans, it certainly has not been easy, and the general belief is that a total systemic overhaul is what is needed. Yet, we see young people who are sometimes even angrier than the angry old ones! It gets more confusing every day, as we seek answers to the already existing issues.
