  Bobrisky, James Brown, others risk six months in jail as Reps move to ban Cross Dressing The House of Representatives has moved to ban cross-dressing in the country, following a new bill proposed by a member of the house, Umar Muda.  The bill which was read aloud on the House floor on Tuesday, April 5, seeks to outlaw cross-dressing, except for individuals who do it for amusement purposes.  The bill proposes to alter the 2013 Same-S#x Marriage (Prohibition) Act by inserting cross-dressing as one of the act’s offences. If passed into law, crossdressers such as Bobrisky, James Brown and others risk six months of imprisonment.  “A person engaging in cross-dressing is guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment of 6 months or a fine of N500,000,” the bill reads.

  Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has expressed shock and sadness over the death of Sylvester Oronomi Junior, a student of Dowen College, Lagos.  The 12-year-old, who hailed from Delta State, was alleged to have been attacked by some of his senior colleagues for refusing to join a cult group.  While sharing in the grief of the family, the Deputy President of the Senate noted that the pain of losing a child will always linger in the mind of every parent.
